Student & Instructor Conduct
All users of the Platform — whether enrolled as students or contributing as instructors — are expected to uphold a standard of respect, honesty, and academic integrity. The Platform is a community of learners, and your actions affect others.
Students agree to:
- Engage with course content honestly and complete their own assessments without unauthorized assistance.
- Treat fellow students, instructors, and moderators with respect in all communications and discussion forums.
- Refrain from sharing course access credentials, bypassing enrollment gates, or distributing paid or restricted course materials.
- Use discussion boards and messaging features exclusively for educational purposes and constructive dialogue.
- Report any technical issues, suspected misconduct, or violations of these Terms to the Platform administrators promptly.
Instructors agree to:
- Ensure all course content they create or upload is original, properly licensed, or used with explicit permission from the rights holder.
- Accurately represent the scope, difficulty level, prerequisites, and learning outcomes of their courses.
- Respond to enrolled student inquiries and support requests in a timely, professional, and constructive manner.
- Maintain the accuracy of their course materials and update content when information becomes outdated or incorrect.
- Refrain from promoting external paid products, services, or platforms in a manner that exploits enrolled students.
- Comply with all applicable laws regarding the content they publish, including laws relating to copyright, privacy, and anti-discrimination.
MyissuesLearn reserves the right to review, moderate, remove, or restrict any content or account that violates these standards, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
Content & Intellectual Property
Platform-owned content: All trademarks, service marks, logos, trade names, and other intellectual property rights in the MyissuesLearn name, brand, and Platform interface are owned by or licensed to MyissuesLearn. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary materials without express written permission.
User-generated content: By submitting, uploading, or otherwise making available any content through the Platform (including course materials, forum posts, assignments, or comments), you grant MyissuesLearn a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, display, and perform that content in connection with operating and improving the Platform.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to submit such content and to grant the rights described above.
- Your content does not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or any applicable laws.
- Your content is not defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.
Third-party content: The Platform may contain links to or embed content from third-party websites and services. MyissuesLearn does not endorse and is not responsible for any third-party content, products, or services. Your use of third-party resources is at your own risk and subject to those parties' own terms.
Copyright Infringement: We take intellectual property rights seriously. If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please contact us immediately at legal@myissueslearn.org. We will investigate and respond in accordance with applicable law.
Free Service Disclaimer
MyissuesLearn is provided as a free educational platform operated as a community service. While we strive to maintain a high-quality, reliable experience, use of the Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind — express, implied, or statutory.
Specifically, we do not warrant that:
- The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
- Any defects or errors will be corrected promptly or at all.
- Course content is always current, complete, or free from inaccuracy.
- The Platform or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components.
- Results obtained from use of the Platform will be accurate, reliable, or meet your expectations.
We make no guarantees regarding employment outcomes, skill acquisition speed, or certification recognition by third-party institutions or employers. Any certificates or badges issued by MyissuesLearn represent internal recognition of course completion only and carry no accreditation unless explicitly stated.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MyissuesLearn expressly disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyissuesLearn and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, contributors, affiliates, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or in connection with:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Platform or any content therein.
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your account, data, or transmissions.
- Any content submitted by or actions of any user or third party on the Platform.
- Any errors, omissions, interruptions, defects, delays, or failures in the Platform.
- Loss of data, revenue, profits, business opportunities, or goodwill.
Aggregate Liability Cap: In no event shall MyissuesLearn's total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising under or related to these Terms exceed USD $50.00, or the total amounts you have paid to MyissuesLearn in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim — whichever is greater. Because the Platform is offered free of charge, this cap will typically be zero.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to binding arbitration or the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the relevant jurisdiction, as permitted by law.
Changes to These Terms
MyissuesLearn reserves the right to revise, update, or replace any part of these Terms at any time, at our sole discretion. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you — such as by posting a prominent notice on the Platform or sending a notification to the email address associated with your account.
Your continued use of the Platform following the posting of any changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform immediately and may request deletion of your account.
